I agree that all images should be in one location... not only for use purposes but also so files don't get named the same etc.
I'm not that familiar with spreadsheets. But I'm willing to learn and I'll do whatever I can just as soon as we get moved and settled in. I still have to get my...
I don't see why we can't have an extra photos gallery attached to each breed.. since there is some degree of difference in a lot of the breeds anyways. Sorry I have been MIA..... I will have more time in the winter and especially after the holidays to really crack down on this. I am going to...
Sorry I have been absent.... trying to restore order before school starts and wrap up some long standing projects.
I imagine a lot of folks are busy this summer also, and I'm sure this will pick up quickly once the weather starts to cool off and people are inside more Well, at least here in...
Maybe we should dump the whole neutral background thing... I don't we will get as many pics that way... but I definitely think that as we get pics that adhere to the guidelines as far as pose we should replace pics etc.
If the only pic we can get ahold of is a shot of a chicken that doesn't...
You know, even if we don;t have pictures up yet, we could use a database linked to the Search menu to allow people to narrow down the breeds and maybe just provide a Feathersite link for breeds that we don;t have up yet.
Ok... here is my mock site...... Pay no attention to colors etc... I just threw it together with parts from my other site LMAO Only A, Araucana and Search links work. Search does NOT work... it is just a mock-up. I have no idea how to make it work...LOL

As soon as I have the time I would LOVE to draw up some mock pages of how I myself would like it to be... LOL Then we can play with the ideas from there and see what everyone likes and agrees is best. I like to see things to understand them. Text is great for all of the extra stuff... but I...
I like what you have going as far as info on the pic Thanks for the enlargement I think that so long as the size of the background is uniform... we can have a little more or less black and it will be fine With cropping we should be able to keep it pretty close
I think the submitters name...
That's nice I like the border and lettering, though I do think it should be white lettering on black. I can;t see the pics big wnough to see what you have written... but I do like that style. I think if we create a PSD in PS you can just switch out the photos and change the text without working...
Sorry I have been MIA. On top of being swamped by kids and home life... my camera broke and is currently at the shop getting repaired (fingers crossed that it is a warranty covered repair!) so I haven't been able to get any good pics Hopefully I will be back in the game soon. I will get with...
Ok Folks, here it is, the "Cheat Sheet" for Progressive Chick Pic Submissions
We're looking to compile a photographic database that will eventually be searchable by key words, etc in order to help people identify the breed and/or sex of their birds. We encourage ALL BYC members to submit...
They're not being used for any kind of advertising..... so I don't see why they wouldn't retain rights to them. This is just for educations sake. However, once up on the id site... there would be a disclaimer that the photos belong to the photographers and are NOT to be reused without expressed...
I don't think we'll need the side head shot as it will be in the full shot. I'm hoping that we can use large enough pics that that amount of detail will be easy to view
I think we should do....
1) Full side shot
2) Aerial view (for markings)
3) Straight on head shot (comb etc)
and with some...
You CAN do that, but will end up with a rough edge on chicks with fluffier feathers, not to mention the labor intensive work it would require to do it well. But, maybe someone wants to take that on? Not me... LOL, I'm busy enough
