I completely agree. OP, when are you planning on getting another turkey? You should really re-home it as soon as possible if you can't get it a friend.
It was recommended to get a few farther back in this thread, but it would probably be easier to convince your mother to just get one more. to answer your question though, it only needs one more to be happy.
