My boxes will be here in April and March. I have 3 coming and 15 rare breed turkeys from cackle. Today I received 25 Blue laced red wyandotte chicks from Murray Mcmurray. They also sent one rare chick. It is a partridge standard cochin. I just wanted to tell someone who would think it was cool...
I got mine this morning. Pictures to come. I received 2 swedish ducks, 2 runner ducks, 2 bourbon red turkeys, 1 blue slate turkey, and the rest chicks. They all arrived alive. One blue cochin is extreamly spraddle legged so i will be taping him up. I haven't counted the total yet but i am happy...
Does anyone have a box comibg in the next few days? Mine was supposed to ship today. I have not received an email yet. Just patiently waiting. :pop :yiipchick
Thanks for the input Popcicle. I was thinking that the blue chicks might be sumatras and the ones i thought were campines were fayoumi but i never would have gotten the lakenvelders or phoenix chicks. That is so cool. I hope one of the sumatras is a roo because i have a blue sumatra hen here...
Barred rocks
Little blue chicks
Easter egger
Silver and crested...polish or spitzhauben?
More easter eggers. They wouldn't be still. Lol
I have no idea what these two are.
I am very happy with my box. They all appear healthy and happy and I received a good assortment.
Ok, I got my chicks this morning. I received 52 total and that includes 2 peking ducks. They all arrived peeping and alive. I took these pics as i was taking them out to put them in the brooder so they seem hunched and sleepy but they perked up with some heat, food, and water. Here they are...
My husband just reminded me that around the same time as I received the cackle order, I received an order of chicks from murray mcmurray and to make it to my minimum chick order, I ordered a few extra pullets from their rare assorted layers. I still have no idea what they are. The buff could be...
All three pullets have pea combs, are heavier than they appear, have hard tight feathering, and the two that are not buff have lacing on their feathers. They look almost like game chickens. I love them and think they are beautiful but what are they?
I dont have any surprise box pictures yet but do y'all think if I post a couple of pictures of some pullets I got from a Cackle hen pack, y'all could help me guess their breed? I am usually good at this but these have me stumped.
Here is an update on my surprise box.... My ship date was yesterday but i never received a tracking number or email so I just called thinking they might have to reschedule again and she told me my box shipped yesterday! They said it should make it to my post office tomorrow. I am excited! I will...
I know, and I am thankful everything worked out. They were very nice on the phone and I didn't mean to sound gripy on here. I was just upset because I knew my kids would be disappointed. I am sure the order will be great and the boys took the news better than I expected. I am pretty impressed...
Thanks for the input y'all. I am new to cackle but there are some bad reviews online and it kinda scared me when this happened but to hear how well it went for all of you, it sets me at ease.
