The rare breed turkey assortment I ordered from Cackle will ship out on April 6th. I can't wait!

I got mine this morning. Pictures to come. I received 2 swedish ducks, 2 runner ducks, 2 bourbon red turkeys, 1 blue slate turkey, and the rest chicks. They all arrived alive. One blue cochin is extreamly spraddle legged so i will be taping him up. I haven't counted the total yet but i am happy...

I had a beautiful black sumatra roo with my hen but a fox got him. He was so sweet and pretty. His tail feathers drug the ground.

Thanks for the input Popcicle. I was thinking that the blue chicks might be sumatras and the ones i thought were campines were fayoumi but i never would have gotten the lakenvelders or phoenix chicks. That is so cool. I hope one of the sumatras is a roo because i have a blue sumatra hen here...

Ok, I got my chicks this morning. I received 52 total and that includes 2 peking ducks. They all arrived peeping and alive. I took these pics as i was taking them out to put them in the brooder so they seem hunched and sleepy but they perked up with some heat, food, and water. Here they are...

All three pullets have pea combs, are heavier than they appear, have hard tight feathering, and the two that are not buff have lacing on their feathers. They look almost like game chickens. I love them and think they are beautiful but what are they?

I know, and I am thankful everything worked out. They were very nice on the phone and I didn't mean to sound gripy on here. I was just upset because I knew my kids would be disappointed. I am sure the order will be great and the boys took the news better than I expected. I am pretty impressed...

Thanks for the input y'all. I am new to cackle but there are some bad reviews online and it kinda scared me when this happened but to hear how well it went for all of you, it sets me at ease.
