    Ok almost 72 hours in and I see blood and vessels:ya I labeled the cups so you all can see better which eggs are progressing. Eggs 1-4 are BBS Ameracauna Rooster over a Rainbow Dixie (Pioneer)Hen. And #5 is full blood Ameracauna.:clap

    Watching the video it looks like they are still encased in some type of membrane...maybe the inner one. Not really sure. And I am already preparing myself for the heartbreaking part...

    Yes there is water in the bottom of the cup, a vent hole in the side and holes around the top of the plastic holding the egg. Incubator has water for humidity in it also.

    My daughter and I started a project last night. We decided to use some of our eggs from our girls to try hatch an egg in cup. No idea if it will be successful but we figured it could give us a much better understanding of the growth of the chick and maybe in the long run help us improve...
