    Backyard Brahmas!!

Hi Guys, Can someone comment on the quality of these. I am thinking of sending them as a gift to my cousin overseas to start a flock. P.S. Vulture Hocks are ok where they are at: https://www.facebook.com/asad.awan.372661/videos/pcb.711954105642420/711953342309163/?type=3&theater

    Backyard Brahmas!!

I have a question about Brahma egg color. My pullets just started laying but their eggs are different shades. One is pinkish brown whereas the other one is even lighter brown. I only have one pic for the pinkish brown one. What color is it supposed to be? Brahma egg is 3rd from left.

Believe it or not, I got her from a feed store who in turn got her from a hatchery in Michigan. (I will try to get the name of the hatchery from them). One of her sisters did not have any black on her but since she was the smallest of them, I gave her away along with her brother who was very...

Some pictures of my 23 weeks old Light Brahma Cutie. How bad are the black feathers on her back? She is almost 6 lbs already so I have a feeling she will mature to be a big girl. P.S She started laying 3 days ago. Are Brahma eggs light brown almost cream? I thought they were supposed to be a...

    Backyard Brahmas!!

Since they are only 2, I might make them a coop of their own because I am pretty sure in winter when I will seal everything for the rest, they probably will want to come out and play in the snow.

Brahmas handling heat: My Brahmas start breathing heavily when it gets to 75 degrees. We have had a very mild summer in Chicago so I am wondering how will they cope with 90 degrees temperature when they can't handle 75 degrees. I know one day it was 88 degrees and they never even came out of...

    Backyard Brahmas!!

It is the husk of coffee beans that comes off during roasting. Its light and fluffy and very soft, almost as soft as silk. Here is an article about its uses. My only problem with it is that it flies everywhere...

No its not dusty, however, I usually have pine-shavings or coffee chaff in their coop and run. Its not a sneeze though, just a sound.

    Backyard Brahmas!!

Yes, its kind of a bark. Now that you say females, the only male I had did not make this sound but he is gone now.
