When I started following this thread, like OK, I was waiting for my group of girls to start laying. Hardly fair that the rooster started to crow so early, now it seems like we should change the title to, "should I but chicks, or wait it out." S many of us hatching. I have chicks due tomorrow...
Thank you, I will try that when I get home. Frustrated with my luck hatching. Out of 40+ eggs I have set at different times, I have hatched eight so far. Most have been shipped eggs but still.
Awwww! So cute!!! I just read up on all the hatching! I have eggs that should have hatched yesterday...still no sign that they are going to hatch. Makes me sad :(
They are chihuahuas. They get under the fence  we keep blocking entries and they keep finding new ones. Poor Lacy was curled up in a ball. She lost wing feathers and has a bald patch. Stupid dog had her pinned to the ground. He got Nox and Opal too. All of our neighbors have...
I posted that last post, looked up, and the neighbor's dog was mauling and chasing my chickens. Feathers all over the yard and a few partially bald birds. Hate those dogs!
I recently processed my rooster. He was an unintentional rooster and was not purchased to be food. He was a brat and had started being overly aggressive with the hens (I thought he had broken ones neck! He literally grabbed her by the neck and threw her). Anyhow, I can relate with how you're...
My understanding is that Frizzle is a dominant gene. If both parents were smooth, then your chick wouldn't be frizzled. One parent must be frizzled and both parents cannot be frizzled or apparently there are problems. I am just barely starting to touch the surface of the whole frizzle thing...
There they are. Very washed out in these pics. Their legs are a dark black. The top one was first to hatch, eyebrows was second, and the middle one was third. I actually got to see her hatch The first hatched just before DH got home. She was still slimy. Then he took pics of the penguin one as...
I have news...I hatched three frizzled EE last night. So excited! They are all black and one has penguin markings. I moved them into the brooder tonight. So precious!
I can agree with that :) I don't hate chocolate I just am not a huge fan of it. I have moments here and there where I crave it though...my sister in law sent us chocolate from Germany for Xmas. It is mostly untouched. Now ice cream, I don't like that at all, not even a little.
Hello all! It has been a long while since I have been on here (200 posts behind but before that I had skippe 200). It sounds as though Roger is still up to her old tricks and the BBBRB (Big Bad Barred Rock Brigade) is still in force. I think it was around Christmas that I was last following real...
