Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

I might be imagining things but I've been out all day, just came home and decided to wait until dark and then candle again, if no change I was going to switch off the bator. Been feeling sad all day. I don't know what made me do it but I took one egg out and listened to it and heard tapping! I...

Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

Today is day 24 and nothing! Eggs were set late evening Friday 12th March, I had 3 eggs still in the bator last night, I candled them and 2 are full of chick with airsac still showing, the 3rd had a much smaller chick wich seemed to slosh about. I opened it and there was a little dead chick...

Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get any babies. Its lock down for me tonight, only 3 eggs left. Two look like they have well developed chicks inside but the 3rd seems smaller so I wonder if it has died. I can't see any movement but I think they're still growing. The air sacs seem really big...

That is such a great video, I can't wait! 3 wyandottes still going strong, all the silkies are clear, took them out today and checked, nothing in any of them. Going to try for silkies again after hatch day on the 2nd, fingers crossed!

Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

I'm so pleased to hear your success stories! My 3 wyandottes are looking good, I can see movement on candling, this is day 11 for me. Still don't see much happening in the silkies but leaving them for the time being. Even if I only end up with 3 babies I'll be happy!

Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

I candled again tonight and 3 of my wyandotte eggs had very clear blood rings, I've removed them from the incubator and feel really sad! The silkie ones don't seem to be doing much at all but I've been told they take a bit longer to develop. Should I be seeing veining in them by now? day 8

Set my very first eggs today (due March 24th) - need a hatching buddy!

Hi, I'm new here, set my first eggs on the 13th March, 6 silkie and 6 wyandotte, candled them today and 5 out of 6 wyandottes have veins, the silkie ones have red "blobs" and air sacs but can't see any veining. I have only one hen, her buddy got taken by a fox, and I thought hatching some...
