Can't hate those odds! I hope I didn't kill mine. I was told 55-65 humidity for the first 19 days, and ppl are going back and forth on if that is too much or not :(
I have heard it said many times, if the chick is not strong enough to make it out then it's better not to help. I think that it is a personal decision bc the helping can also hurt the chick, and which one can you live with.
I would, one or two fully soaked helps get the humidity right, but next time get one! Preferably a digital one from a reptile store..... They have thermometer/hydrometer combos
I am incubating for my son's Kinder class today. Just amazing! My 2 week old chicks were there, and before I brought them at the 4 day mark some had never seen a real live chick! Letting them see the moving embryos was as much fun for me as it was for them!
There are neighboorhoods that don't allow vegtables????? What is wrong with those kind of people. I am all with you! Grow hidden by flowers LOL.
The success you guys are having gives me hope!
Yes yes. Lots of coffee, chocholate, and staring with bated breath. My candling after day 5 was 5 nothing going ons in the Silkie eggs I had shipped to me. 23 of the 24 buff brahma eggs I got from my girls had stuff going on. That leaves 9 Silkies and 23 Brahmas. ;);)
