I'm glad he's going well :celebrateand isn't getting picked on from the others.
I'm also happy that's he's ok :wee
He is determined :), and we'll see in the future if he has any babies.
Update:
He is going very well, I moved him out of his cage at the start of the week and put him with the other new birds in the loft. He’s definitely got used to using his one leg getting around and also flys up on the perches and back down. I’ll try to get a picture of him.
Found it. It seems like his whole entire leg was taken off. I'm going to use the spray we used on the duck (she got attacked by the dog and had a bare back with some deep spots) as that's all we have around and she's been healing up fine since she's had it.
When I put the female he was supposed to be paired up with back with the other new birds she had a bearded male showing off at her. Now they are paired up... I may pair him up with the Serbian highflyer hen which is on my profile pic.
We have a spray which stops infections and keeps away bugs, it’s purple. I’ll be using it on the bird when I can find the wound, it’s SO hard to find it :barnie
He still seems fine, he did have some very bright green droppings though. And he’s beginning to learn how to use his leg in standing.
He is still ok, and he is no longer bleeding but I once again couldn’t find the wound and the feathers that were stuck together didn’t help. I’ll see tomorrow morning if I can wash the feathers and see if the wound is their. Hopefully he will be all right till the morning since their are no rats...
Ok. I'll see how he is this afternoon. Hopefully he will be slightly better this afternoon. If I can find the wound I'll spray it with the same stuff we used on the duck which got attacked by my brothers dog, we never gave her any antibiotics and she's better.
Their is a uni vet that does all animals but if it is really expensive it's just not worth it. And it's completely ripped off, trying to find a wound is hard because of his black feathers and it's just extremely hard. What medication should I give him? And it's still bleeding but I can't do...
My other birds are in an aviary and the rats can't get in. I moved the female that was in the cage with him back into the aviary and she was courted right away by the other male. I'll see how he is this afternoon as I have to go to school today.
