    I thought that might be the case. There used to be several hatcheries in the Southeast Kansas areas and would help each other fill orders. and they also bought hatching eggs from known flocks. But almost all these hatcheries went out of business in the 1960's.

    The feathers are black and white, no brown. the pictures were taken in bright sunlight. Some of the black feathers do have a metallic shin.

    No. These came in an hatchery mix of 50 rare breed special , but the Texas Hatchery does not have any Javas on their breed list.

    I received some Mottled Javas in a hatchery mix in March. There were 2 roosters and 8 pullets in a 50 pullet order. There were no Molted Javas listed in their catalog and when I contacted them , they denied sending them. No more orders from that hatchery from me, but I think I will try to hatch...
