I used DE... birds still got infested with feather lice when the starlings invaded... even if it had gotten wet previously, once dry DE returns to it's original state, microscopic fossilized diatom bodies... my biggest issue with DE, besides not even phasing the bugs, is that there is a warning...
She's a professor at Colorado State University... she has clips and talks on youtube as well... really helps to show perspective from animal's POV and how their thought processes work...
