My broody bantam Cochin has been sitting on about 14 eggs for two weeks now...funny to see her flatten out to cover all the eggs. Also have a bear visiting almost every morning...I thought the deer and moose were enough, now more frequent visits by the bear. We've always had a lot of wild-life...
Hens in their coop were fine and squawking to get out into the run first thing this morning. The "teen-agers" in the grow out pen were okay as well. I was mostly concerned about my six week old chicks in their brooder...water wasn't frozen and the babies were doing well.
