Yeah that's normal. Some chicks just fluff slower than others

I'm no expert on sexing chicks, but I have yet to be wrong with an initial guess on their genders. I use their wings and their faces to tell- if I think a chick looks like a roo then I say it's a roo, if it looks like a hen then I say it's a hen.

Hmmmm.... I tend to have bad luck with yolk chicks. I'm just as much as a newbie to them as you are right now, I've had my first two yolkies this hatch. I'm not completely sure what you should do, but it should probably be different from what I did /:

Is the cord attached to the chick or yolk sac?

Do you see any yolk sac? Be very very careful with this chick. The cord should dry up and fall off and the chick shoul be fine, I think.

Don't candle, be patient. They need to lay still and absorb their yolk and blood so they can hatch! Adding a sponge would be good. With my hatch, so far I have 8 hatched and a few more on the way. The yolkies are in a corner absorbing, gosh I hope they make it...

It's ok, you'll do fine! Not all chicks hatch on their due date for many first timers the chicks are late. Just be patient! I promise it will be fine! (:

Now I have 5 hatched, 2 zipping, 1 external pip, and idk how many internal pips

Day 21 hatch update: This is the morning of day 21, on day 19 there was 1 pip, end of day 20 there were 5 Hatched: 1 Zipping: 1 Externally pipped: 4 Internally pipped: 3 Total: 9 out of 19 so far
