yes, for the time being these are the only two...the rir hens are laying only every so often..will hatch more closer to spring when they get more regular

Just thought I would post a updated picture of my 2 Rhodebar @ RIR mix chicks...... This pullet and Roo are now 8 weeks old... Now I wait until they are grown mate back to the roo rhodebar and RIR hen.....

Here's one of my Rhodebar @ RIR chicks at 3 days old, she is about 6 weeks old now...Also hatched a Roo had a lighter spot on his head ( Will try to update phto's this weekend!) I know I have to mate the pullet back to the male Rhodebar Roo when old enough...Where do I go from there?

The chicks 24 hrs later.........The dark became even darker..lol The lighter one got lighter.........

Thanks for all your info on making pure Rhodebars, I have a few eggs in the bator now from the roo and RIR hens...What should be my next step in the production of darker Rhodebars? Should I mate the hens from the F1 hatch to a pure RIR roo and the hens from this back to a Rhodebar Roo for pure...

Really like Roo #3 and #4....(More reds then #2, Can't see #1 to good does he have more red then black) with your main hen....All your hens look Great...Good luck!!!

Welcome CarolJ to the bluegreen egg Rhodebar.....It seems GFF used some cream legbar along the line..., but your hens look like a Rhodebar hen, which is a lot of red in them...I finally got an e-mail back saying they would sent me another Rhodebar hen, but if your hens are laying blue-green eggs...

@ Jeremy No they have not offer anything and have not replied since my last e-mail it's been 4 days now..... I have already set the RIR hens in with the rooster, I'll wait a few weeks before I put any eggs in the bator....I will be putting the other hen eggs into the bator when I do the RIR...
