We have some beautiful pictures of our neighbor's sons and their haul of some sizable black drum and red drum caught in Lake Pontchatrain in New Orleans. They were caught from a boat, although I have caught similar fish from the seawall.
I will try to have DH post them later tonight.
I am so...
So hard, thoughts and prayers your way. I am so glad you are able to start getting back to things you enjoy. :hugs
Is that fish I see under the ice?
Wow that video was some of the most fun I've have watching a film in a long time. Talk about catching fish in a barrel, you got a good bite every time you cast out. Looked like some nice fish as well. Bet you had a great time!
That flounder pic brought back some great memories as a kid...
Here we use noose tied wire, size depends on what size gar you are fishing for, smaller gar taste better in red sauce (like sauce picante ) with bait tied to wire. Works pretty well here, same idea as above.
Find a place where you can be 6' away from people and wear a mask, go on out and catch some fish :love:love I don't think you will infect the fish with the covid virus. Have fun and tell us all about it. :celebrate

We do too. But sadly we can't get the fresh smoked thick tasty fish that Mr. Laslo made, here in New Orleans. You know it's bad when I still remember the man's name after 14 years. LOL
He actually, had a few different types, don't remember them all, but of course salmon. It truely tasted like fish candy, couldn't get enough of it! LOL
Best smoked fish I have ever eaten was in Sacramento in 2003. Still miss it and think and talk about it often with DH. We were there about 8 months and we ate a lot of it. It was sold by a man who smoked it himself at a little stand on a pier. As a life long resident of New Orleans we have...
We have salt water speckled trout here. They don't get as large as 25 lbs for the most part. The biggist fish I have ever caught was a little over 42 lbs. it was an offshore trip and I only weighed 100 lbs at the time. I thought the jack fish was going to pull me overboard! My adult son had...
