What a sweet tribute to Nugget. She was a pretty girl
Thank you for sharing your video. You are a beautiful young lady with a kind and loving heart, don't every lose that. Continue to give and love each day.
I wish all the best for you:hugs

Chickens can be very stoic, even when sick they are good at hiding it.
You took care of her and did what you could. I know it's sad, take time to grieve for her loss, then carry on my dear. You have other chickens that need your attention.
I'm very sorry for your loss:hugs
I know you miss her, but it was good that you were able to take a look inside her after she was gone.
That is a lot of lash material, she would not have recovered from that no matter what you did.
Take comfort that she is no longer suffering and in pain.
I'm so very sorry:hugs
On your other thread you mention that she hasn't sat down in a day. So I'm assuming she has stayed pretty much in this stance for at least a day?
I know it's hard we do get attached to these sweet girls and I know you care for her.
There does come a time when we have to...
She may be beginning to molt if you are seeing new feathers coming in on the neck.
You want to make sure you air out the coop really well if you bleach. I suggest that you wear a respirator for your protection as well, you don't need to be breathing in all that chicken dust or the fumes from...
It's hard to know whether to give her antibiotics or not if she perked up after the draining. Some people do give medication to help prevent infection from the needle stick, in case they introduce bacteria. That would be up to you.
It's good that the draining helped with her breathing and...
Is this from the hen that is passing the lash material?
Fluid in the peritoneal cavity (Ascites) is often seen in hens with reproductive problems.
You would want to drain her slowly to avoid shock. I don't know how often you will need to drain her. You will have to go by symptoms she exhibits...
None of this is your fault. You're going to have to stop blaming yourself. It is not doing you one bit of good - it's stressing you to the point that your health is going to suffer!
Feel her up in the morning and let us know what you find out.
What does her abdomen feel like?
Has she got swelling, bloat or fluid - cup your hand underneath the vent between her legs, feel of her - is it hard, soft, pliable, tight light a water balloon?
If she is the one passing lash material, then I suspect the raspy breathing would be related to...
Salpingitis is caused by a number of things. It is an infection of the oviduct.
Here's a couple of good write-ups to read, these will give you the basics:

Thank you for that.
I would have to go back and read, but when was the last time this girl laid an egg?
With the poop and some of the symptoms you described, I'm thinking that may be a bit of lash material. Salpingitis?
Kathy @casportpony what do you think?
I agree with this. See if the antibiotics will kick in. You don't want to start forcing any food/water.
Check the crop first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks, it should be empty.
The poop is concerning for sure. Hopefully the antibiotics will help. It's hard to tell if it's due...
