    Do those three things. If it gets worse, we'll discuss it further at that time. Deep litter is not going to do that to her eye, if anything - deep litter improves immune function. She's not going to kick it with this being the only symptom right now. Take a deep breath and get that ACV in her!

    That's a good thing. :) Use saline solution to clean out her eye. I'm sure there is a recipe somewhere for homemade saline solution. Add neosporin (without pain reliever) to her eye. It should help prevent infection.

    That does look different from Honey's eye, and is looking like Harriet's eye when it fist started. Took her to the vet. It's a benign something or other, and does not grow, but she is blind. All I can say is keep it clean and monitor the condition.

    Add ACV every time for as long as you keep chickens, not just 3 days. I always have ACV (unpasturized, unfiltered, and with mother) in their water AND food. I ferment their food for optimal health. Also increasing the PH in their system also is said to increase chances of hatching more female...

    I have a bird that has had this her entire life, and it is not infectious or diseased. She can't see out of the eye, but is otherwise unaffected. I tried everything. Antibiotic ointment, flushing it daily, etc. If it had of plagued other chickens, I would have thought eyeworm, but it's just her...
