I stack in mine everytime I use it. I have never had a problem. The ones on top develop just fine. It is a hassle rotating, so I put them in cartons and am VERY careful. I also use papertowels as cushions against the sides when I rotate.
Now, you DO realize i was just being...

You sound like me. I pack them tight! I have gotten 4 dozen bantams in there before. I double stack till I do my clear tosses. Rotation is no fun, but its worth it in the end. I have some faymouis, they are odd birds. Very talkative!!
What are faymouis? Just curious.
They are egyptian...

I put the papertowel over the water channels to help wick the water up and it creates a larger surface area for the moisture. I am incubating now. I have 2 eggs with internal pips that I hope hatch today, so I can sanitize the incubator. Then I have several more going into lockdown...

Do you find that the sponges hold more water? I've heard a number of people talk about using sponges. I haven't been able to make them work well for me but the idea of putting pieces in the channels sounds interesting and I may try it. I've got eggs in there now... Do you moisten the...
Cielo, I agree about the humidity. I do dry hatches. I don't add much, if any water, my houses humidity is above 50%, so I don't add water till lockdown. I cut up cheap sponges and put in the channels, then lay a papertowel over the bottom. I try to keep it at 70% during lockdown. If I need to...

Love it so much that I have 2!
if ok could u tell me some pros and cons
I have never used another brand, so I don't have any experience with others. Its very easy to clean, rotate manually, holds temprature well, good viewing. Cons, if you buy ECO without the bells...
I had to add water to my ECO this weekend. It was in lockdown, so I put a straw through the vent hole and used a basting syringe to add water. It worked very well.
I had a friends daughter over to watch a hatch and she opened the vent (kids, grrr) I was in and out of the room so I didn't...

i personally don't think it is. one advance costs about 370 plus..........ONE eco 20 costs 100 plus. do the math, as i don't have time to go on and on
I agree. I would rather have multiple units than bells and whistles. I don't even use the turner anymore. I manually turn mine. Mainly...
I think it will hold that many. I can get 3 dozen bantams in with no problem. I also stack eggs in mine and turn the machine by hand till the first toss. There is a video on youtube of a women showing how to fit more eggs in one. When I have mine double stacked I use egg cartons cut up and on a...
I try to group the egg shapes together in the same rows. Fat eggs together, skinny eggs together, etc. That seems to help situate them better in the dividers.

amen. i also think those who register complaints about their humidity going into lockdown really do not have a valid complaint against this bator in fact. it is really a matter of a personal desire for convenience and also their management technique.
if one pays attention to RH during...
I turned my ECO on last night in anticipation of an egg delivery today! Just got the call from the post office, yiipppee! This will be the longest day at work EVER!
