I just set eggs yesterday and if I'm reading the calendar right then they will be due to hatch on the 15th which will be in Scorpio between the hours of 11:36pm on the 14th and 12:45am on the 15th. It's a very small time frame but hopefully at least one will hatch between those times!
I added three eggs a few minutes ago and had to remove two that had started to smell. So far still no development from the ones added April 30. I'll toss those on the 14th.
Today is day 7 and I could not see any development what so ever in any of the eggs! Im hoping its because I'm a newbie... I went ahead and cracked open the egg with the detached air cell and the whole thing was scrambled.
Here's a link to my candling pictures...
Today is day 3 and the power decides to go off! I dont know how long its been off for. Could be up to 12 hours! This is my first time incubating eggs so im pretty stressed out over this. I dont know when the power will return either. I went ahead and candled the eggs and one has two air bubbles...
I have a few questions. At how many days do you guys do the first candling and what would a high humidity do? I tried searching around for the effects of high humidity but all I got was humidity guidelines and "help my humidity level went up to ___" threads.
Well the eggs i got range from a light blue almost white color to an army green and they were advertised as Frizzled Olive Eggers (rooster being yhe frizzle). I was going to use a Little Giant but after looking around this site I went with a Brinsea Mini Eco.
Doing a Zodiac hatch along sounds interesting. I just placed some Frizzled Olive Eggers and Swedish Flower in the incubator. This will also be my first time incubating eggs. Crossing my fingers for a successful hatch :)
