I have only once recall someone say they successfully bred a white to a white. They were able to hatch one chick, I think it also was a white but I don't recall completely.
Yes since polish lay white eggs the CL rooster will pass a blue gene on to all his offspring. Making all the off spring carriers of 1 blue egg gene. The females will lay blue eggs and the males will carry 1 blue egg gene.
Im sure his tips cant be worse than my CLs frostbite comb. He is gonna lose half his blade. Oddly I think hes gonna look quite nice with his crew cut type comb
Im not sure what the chicks will look like I imagine they will be very good looking. I think the crest on them will look nice, larger...
That is what I thought, thank you.
How do you all feel about continuing to use your CL that do pass the recessive white gene on? Do you all look forward to hatch day and see your white sports? Or are you all trying to steer away from that happening?
Sorry you lost your pullet.
How common is it to hatch out WS Cream Legbars? Now that more people own CL and more are being bred is it likely that WS will become a little more common. Or do they hatch few and far between and not from everyones CL flocks?
