He was a squirming thing this morning! I'll take a pic of that later he was ready for some food. The underside of his feet are bright yellow. I appreciate all input. Its a new experience for me to have chicks of various breeds! Thank you!! Do you raise either of those kinds? I've never had any...
I was looking up black Australorp photos and with the age of my chick 30-34 days it is a pretty close comparison. The one thing throwing me off is where the comb is to be. He/she has an all black area with no resembelence of a comb.
Just thought I'd throw a couple more pics up that are better. Bottoms of the feet are yellow. I'm sure I've got to wait till he is bigger to tell for definite but I like the trying to figure it out part. .maybe a little lol!
I will check when I get off work. See the weird thing is that the top half of his legs are slate gray and the bottom half's are yellow. The bottoms I'm not sure of tho. Thanks y'all for the input so far.
OK so I've got this chick....I think its a turkey, a Spanish black breasted turkey. He/she looks nothing like any chicken I've ever seen and after looking cackle website over and over the only picture that matches him even remotely is the turkey chick!! Please any input?? I'm lost and its...
We are a little short on nurses so I have a nurse that stays until 11pm and helps with med pass then I've got it until 7am on my own. During the day there is 2 nurses and we used to have two at night but ya know....that is constantly changing lol
My DH calls me a super mom, I work night shift...

That is great! I always like to see family members try to be as active in families life as possible. Some can not take care of them at home but make full effort to do as much as possible while they are with us. Its always refreshing to see. You are one special person!!! And wtf to your grams...
True!! My kids frequently come up to the nursing home with me. They participate in activities and sing and understand the complexities. They have seen death, they have grieved loss. I think this helped them when I lost my mother. I think that every teenager/adult should be acclimated to this...
It really does! Sometimes it is harder to teach families how to cope with mom/grandmas dad/grandpas new mentality then the residents coping. I've seen residents resort back to childhood or child rearing days and want a baby doll to care for. I've also seen residents reinvent themselves into a...
Thanks!! Yes very much the truth. Elderly with Alzheimer disease are hit the hardest. It can be heart breaking to see a sweet lady turn into a cussing distraught lady. Very sad.
I have had full on arguments with people that stated it was a myth that the elderly acted different on full moons. Let them come in here on a full moon with additional sun downing already happening!! They'll change tune!
Yes,......but I made sure all my regular mooners had their extra happy pills tonight. I hate when they aren't comfortable, I like for them to just be happy and content!
