    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

Sounds right...I went to the learning center here on BYC and it says humidity should be between 70-80 on lockdown. Good luck with the hatch

On the ones that are clear do you mean dark on one end and clear on the other? Or completely clear? I'm no expert at candling. The only thing I'm good at identifying is a rotten egg . I didn't candle with my EE's brood until day 22. Maybe you should post the question about the candling in...

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

So how many did you end up putting in the incubator? Isn't lock down now?? Edited to suggest that maybe your run split should be lengthwise...so if they want to 'run' they'll have twice as much length to do it in

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

The majority of my flock is Barred Rock, although I have an assortment of 2 here, 3 there type flock, they all seem to get along fine when cooped up (dead of winter and noone wants to leave the coop-not even to go out into the run). However, although Barred Rocks are sweetie pies to me, they...

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

I'm no expert either, but I think that you hit them right on with your decisions. However, with the ones that seem "clear" I would wait--I think most on here candle on day 14 for their 'final answer'. But I loved seeing that definite baby!! So exciting! You have to be absolutely tickled...

Are you sure your light is strong enough? Are you able to see the air sac at all? BTW, I love the yellow on the nursery!! By clear, do you mean you see absolutely nothing?? Just like a freshly laid egg?

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

I think it would be fine.......they'll have their own personal run. I can't remember though from last year how big they are at 8 weeks old. My brain is a little fried today. My broody was due to hatch out this past Wednesday and Friday. Today I candled and I had rotten eggs and quitters...

Alot of potential and at 2 feet tall you can add a second floor for additional space

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

I'm no expert but I'd say the first one is dead. Second one is definitely alive, and I think I see veining in the 3rd. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in on this one.

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

Sounds right and by the looks of your set up (nice BTW) they'll be able to be close enough to get used to eachother... If you are planning on dividing inside of the coop and want to save a little bit of money you can divide them by chicken wire (inside the run)-especially if you plan on removing...

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

Are you planning on putting this IN your existing coop or just attaching it to it? If you're attaching it to it, you can transform it from brooder to older pen by adding roosts and a makeshift run for them coming out from that. The weather will be nice in 8 weeks and they'll be spending most...

    Mabel's Legacy-BABY PICTURES!!!!

Most definitely a brooder there! I already see the possibilities! I would think you would keep the walls and just move the center wall (where the tower would go) out to close off the brooder. Voila!! Instant box! Oh this is exciting!! Better hurry...you've only got 14 days right??
