I like the metallic sheen. In the early 1st imports, there was a metallic sheen to some of the feathers. I dont see that so much now.

This is a group I hatched that are 6 days old. There are 4 black ameraucana in the picture too.

The splash and the blue look great! I especially love the splash. The little guy with the mottling, not so much, for breeding anyway. He would be a cull in my breeding program. Only IMO.

Those are probably 3 months in that picture. I have every age running around here. I swear I am stopping hatching (for at least a month) after this next big bunch, due to hatch this week.

By the way they are standing I would GUESS the splash is male and the black is female. That is only a guess though.
