Yesterday I have him the 4th shot (1 cnce a day). He does stand but he is also still walking heavy. He also walks with hos legs bent. He doesn't act sick except for that. Is this something that will go away with more time? None of the others are showing any signs and the pox looks like it's...
I didn't get them from a breeder.. I got them from a poultry mkt. Lesson learned. I have no idea where the pox came from but they are free ranged most of the day. He's the only one sick right now and he's been separated so it hopefully won't spread any further. I'm just glad I know how to treat...
First died from a tumor. Second had avian pox and respiratory distress. Had no clue he was having a hard time breathing. Didn't notice the tiny bumps until I got results and a few of my chickens have them on their combs and face... What can I give them to keep them from dying??
My son is taking him Friday. No, it's not easy at all. I'd be more favorable to something that I could treat. I seriously don't want to lose anymore chickens
The first was dissected by a vet, the second is at UK. Takes several weeks for results. They also said labs in live chickens WOULDN'T give a diagnosis. They would like the one that is starting to show symptoms for study. It also now cost 40 for a necropsy at UK
