I can't believe people do that.
And to add. I posted it was a FOX, so we think. DH saw it and has been trying to get it. Yes, I'm sorry, kill it.

And yes cats may get along with chickens if they have been together but these are not my cats...
What I think is neat is, we all didn't get the same extra's so they will all be different. I layed mine out on the floor last night after everyone went to bed and I moved them and moved them. I have a pic but I need to leave and it takes forever to get the pic on photobucket so I will let it...
I want to apologize to you all. I guess Im a little depressed, down in the dumps. So to all you cat lovers, I am so sorry. I guess when things get you down you do dummmm things. I would give the shirt off my back if you needed it. So again sorry.

I watched the youtube thing with the cats. I'm not saying I don't like cats. I'm saying I should be able to let my chickens free range without having to worry about a large cat getting them. If it was a "wild animal" getting them then that's different.

I consider pets an animal I keep on my property, not something I let go to someone elses property ½ mile down the road. If they want to keep their pets they need to keep them where they belong! If it was a dog killing them would that be different?

Now I see, no they were outside and sometimes they are out when we are not home. So far nothing has been in the barn. That's where we keep them. We did see bear droppings at the end of the yard. At least that's what my DH said they are.

squirrels, or other smaill animals around and I think the cats get them.
I just called my FIL to see if he has a trap but I know the neighbor has at least 15 cats, I was told. They all run wild and are not fixed.
Edited to add, my other chicken just went missing.
I always thought it was funny when people would say, I can tell the difference in my chickens, how they talk. Well I now understand. I let my chickens free range and they were by the house.
Last week I lost one chicken and today the rooster was making a noise that was different. So momma...
