    Whole flock is at risk

No new deaths this morning... One still looks pretty bad, two still showing some illness. The rest or looking good. The one that is the worst did drink some water while I watched and did peck around a bit. I hope I see a little improvement in her when I get home. She is a blue ameraucana that...

    Whole flock is at risk

Got the corrid and put it in their water. They were all strong enough to drink on their own so I am cautiously optimistic that I can save the remaining birds. So far I lost both of my Mille fleur Swedish flower hens which really bums me out + 1 production blue egg layer. Thanks for all your...

    Whole flock is at risk

Just checked my birds in the light and it looks like runny, potentially bloody stools.... I will try to get treatment for cocci today. Pen three looks ok so far so I might have time to avoid total disaster. What a nightmare

    Whole flock is at risk

Yes, i used that product because of the residual properties. i understand your concern about the mite treatment but don't think that is the problem. The birds are kept indoors 24/7 and have 4 sq ft of space per bird. Ventilation is excellent.. It appears to be infectious in nature with a bird in...

    Whole flock is at risk

Nothing else other than changing the food. It's a closed coop but very well ventilated. Ridge vent, gable vents and two very large screened windows. I won't be able to do a thing until at least Friday due to work... 13 hour days.

    Whole flock is at risk

Would cocci take them down that quickly? They were looking fine a fee days ago and I fear most if not all will be dead in another day or two if the rest follow the same route as the first victim

    Whole flock is at risk

Was a flea bomb... Took all the birds out, let the coop air out and then replaced the litter. Read the label and there was no warning for birds or other pets

    Whole flock is at risk

My coop has been hit with an illness and it looks like might lose most if not ally birds. I noticed one of my Swedish flower hens looking sluggish on Sunday and by Tuesday she was dead. Whatever she had is now spreading through my entire coop. Stoms are as follows: birds are listless, rump...
