I can't wait to see what they look like. At what point do they stop looking like Marans? It hatched with some BCM and I have no idea which one it is now.

I happen to notice a fuzzy cheeked chick running around. I believe I have a little blue Ameraucana! Thank you! What came out of pen 5? I hatched a black and yellow chick with that number on it.

No, the green one didn't hatch. I know I have a chipmunk out of a #6 and I'm not sure what came out of the other blue one. Couldn't find a number on it but I will keep an eye on the bunch.

So all of my July swap eggs finished hatching last night. I have no idea which one is the Black Langshan now that the BCM have hatched. Thanks to my swap partners for the beautiful babies!! Onwards to August!

The one with the white spot is actually a olive egger from my Cream Legbar rooster and my FBCM hens. They feather in with barring and a cute little crest.

So, I had a few chicks hatch while I was on my little road trip. Looks like the egg from pen #5 hatched and so did the two blue ones which I think were #6. I think I also had a egg from my second swap hatch. Got 2 more pips from swap #2 and the others are still moving inside their eggs.

Oh no. That's horrible. I hope there is some way she can keep them.

The box was labeled pens 5, 6, 7. I have a green, brown and 2 blue eggs in lockdown. 2nd swap sent me all dark eggs and I believe I have 6 of those eggs in lockdown.

Congrats all! Both of my swaps are in lockdown though I do not know who my partners were. I do know the one set of eggs came from MrHeinz.

That stinks. None of the Legbars made it? Horrible. Darn post office.

Oh the blue copper was from my swap partner. Your dark egg has pipped, not sure if it has hatched yet.

So as of this morning I have one Blue Copper Marans and one Showgirl Silkie (chiqita) from last month's swap hatched!!! I have quite a few more pips and will hopefully have a few more chicks running around when I get home!

So I put the eggs from the June swap into lockdown today. Got my fingers crossed some hatch. Would love to have these guys. Installed the new incubator and got the eggs moved over to the new one. Need to get the old one ready for it's new owner. Wish I could candle my eggs from this month's...
