BTW I love my Ancona with her floppy comb.She lays a nice large white egg but she is just like a leghorn in that she is real flighty.

I have one Ancona hen and they do have the mottled pattern but the resemblence stops there.Ancona's lay white eggs and are much lighter in weight like a leghorn.

I wish I had more knowledge of the crosses now but at the time I just threw a few eggs from the layer pen in the bator with my Feb swap eggs just to see what I would get.It maybe something to work with and try to improve on the lacing.I guess I have a little project to do now.

It could also be SLWxBLRW too.Both possibilites are from that pen.

I have never thought about it but does not the Mottled Orps have pinkish legs like the other Orps?

I wouldn't think so since I have a little mottled cochin bantam hen and she has her markings.Maybe different with mottled orps though.
