    Three or two toothpicks (Enough to hold it up) pushed in the pit to keep it at the top of the jar and just keep water at least hittin the bottom of the pit. I wait until there is a LOT of roots before addin any soil. It should have at least one good “tap root” and a bunch of smaller feeders...

    I did an experiment in ky with my two peaches one year. One i thinned and the other not. While the not tree had tons of tinny fruit they were still very sweet and good. The thinned one had huge fruit but the taste was the same. So it just kinda depends on what size fruits you are wantin really.
