My lockdown is tonight ! I hope they will survive ! I have only two out of 10 eggs. They will be black astrolorps.. Its too hard for me to wait another day!

I am going to take mine out of the carton and lay them slightly up with towel (lockdown wednesday night. That way they can hatch naturally. I have heard few died pipped on the bottom of the cartons

I first tried to hatch the old fashion way, laying them down, they all died. So I read some one else thread about egg cartons, so I am going tyo give it a try . I got to wild looking wigglers !! due Jan 28th. I am just learning, hopefully I will be sucessful some day !!

I was planning to get them out of egg cartons during lockdown. Hopefully It will hatch.

wow thats nerve wrecking !! I lost my first batch last christmas. I never new why. they were fully formed . Now trying a different way by leaving in eggs in egg cartons, hopfully this time will hatch ! Jan 28th.

I want to candle mine today, but I rather wait two more days to give its time. I am very nervous that I may hurt it !! ((I failed my hatching last Christmas) There was chickies inside, but didnt make it through . Hopefully this time they will come ! (Jan 28th)

I am in the same boat with you ! I am watching my eggs like a hawk ! Hatching date Jan 28th.

I just set my eggs in the incubator today! Due Jan. 28th. Silkies, and Black astrolorps . This will be my second try as I lost my first batch around Christmas time. ( temps went up too high ) Hope this time I will get lucky !!
