Sadly, I need to re-home my ducks. We are moving, and I just can't keep them. There are three Ancona drakes - 5 months old. (There are four in this picture, but one has already found a great forever home). They are all very friendly! We are located in Rhode Island. Is there anyone here who could adopt them? They really need to be around some females! Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Hrm. I'm in RI and have coveted some anconas.

ETA - Just re-read thread title. They're all drakes. That's too much of a sausage party for me just starting out with Anconas. :(

I wish you luck in finding a home!

Thanks. It is so rare to see someone else from RI who has ducks! If you only want one, I'd split them up. It is so hard to find homes for boys, and it's too bad because they are very sweet and friendly. They are certainly hormonal though, and they really need to be around some females!

I know, right!

The issue I have right now with even taking one is that right now I only have 1 adult female and she's broody. I've got plenty of ducklings growing out (13, with 7 more set to hatch in 3 weeks,) but the oldest is only 6 weeks. :(

I'll ask around.. I have a co-worker that might be interested. She bought some 'lings from me and might have housing for a few more.

Okay, thanks anyway. Please keep me in mind if you run into any other local "duck" people.
