Lockdown tomorrow noon!!!!! Out of the 90 eggs set 72 appear going to lockdown, we'll find out tomorrow on last candling. Eggs of my Dark Cornish Males with my White/Barred Plymouth Rocks and my Buff Orphington Male with my Madisons.

Candled before lockdown and from the 90 eggs I started with, 71 developing eggs made it to lockdown. Some undertones and a couple blood rings but we are still good.

Good luck!!

Thanks
 Wow, congratulations...!

I have some going into lock down this Fri.  Here we go!   Look forward to seeing your babies!   You will have a lot!

Thanks.....phase 2 of a long project....still a long way to go

I am so excited! It's day 20 and we have pipping from the olive eggs. The olive eggs are so dark that I couldn't candle them and I wasn't even sure if they were developing. The other 3 were showing signs of life when I last candled them. I hope I get lucky and get 5/5 from my first hatch in my homemade incubator. I am hoping to get some more olive eggers. The father is likely a RIR, but may be an OE. I have 2 Cream Legbar eggs, 2 Marans/Ameraucan mixes, and one Dominique (just because my 3 year-old adores the momma). I'll be happy with whatever we end up with. Fingers crossed for mostly girls. :)

Exciting!! Did you purposefully incubate the Olive eggs with other so you could use the others to gauge whether to increase/decrease humidity? I'm thinking of doing an Olive Egger incubation but am not sure how i will know how the air cells are doing other than buying some scales??

Day 19 & 26 here. My Isbar and runner duck eggs are on lockdown. I heard peeping from numerous ducklings!!!!! Too bad my new incubator didn't arrive. Had to pull the egg Turner out and lock all my eggs down. Hope the NYE eggs'll be ok for a few days with higher humidity and no turning, though I expect the ducklings will help with that

No, I had purchased 3 olive eggers from a backyard breeder. One died, one is a rooster, and the other lays these beautiful eggs. I was hoping to increase my chances of getting a green egg layer. I just love a mix of colored eggs. I had just checked for a bullseye on an egg as evidence her eggs were fertile and then put them in and hoped for the best.
