Pics of Indoor Serama Set Up and maybe good brooder idea???

Wow! Great idea! Thanks for sharing!!! I was trying to think of something to use for our serama pullet that would pretty much keep everything contained when we take her with us in our rv. We take a small crate for our two small dogs and this one can set right on top in the rv. I am sooo going to Target!

WOW!! now i really need to do a new set up!

I love the idea, looking for a place for my two serama...but, if you don't mind my asking, how are you going to keep the bottom clean? If it's like mine, the bottom is just light 'tent' material....

i was thinking you could put a plastic or tray in it then the litter for easy cleaning?? i have a wooden hutch i am thinking of using, i am getting my first pair of seramas next week

I like the idea of the shavings staying IN since that's always been difficult with the regular dog crates.

This might be something I'd be interested in trying for my Seramas over the winter.

Also, I'm thinking as a brooder, the Brinsea Ecoglow would be an awesome alternative to any heat lamps for this type of setup.
Thanx for sharing!

Hey all, I suggest you check into corrugated plastic or coroplast. It comes in 4 x 8 sheets like plywood. I got the idea when I had guinea pigs and made their cages.
Here is the website that shows you how to make those cages and where to get materials.

But the plastic bottom box will solve many of your problems. I make them for my wire rabbit cages and for wire dog crates and then use those cages for Seramas also.
I have transformed my old guinea pig cages into Serama cages. Here is a picture to give you an idea.
