Wowww a thread for me and mine wooooohooooo!!!! I justt got in a new pair and a new trio of old family ginger redquills today striking birds. Iv been hunting for good redquill for yrs. Ill post pics tomorrow on here.

Sorry no, I only have two brothers who are half Red Horse RedQuill and a another rooster who is also half Winian or Eslin Redquill.....sorry. I know some people who LOVE them just for their apperance alone. Personally I think they are BEAUTIFUL...why do you ask? Interested in getting some American Gamefow?

I found this picture online of a BEAUTIFUL RedQuill bird!

Along with this information (copied and pasted from GameFowlBreeders.info):

RED QUILLS: Originator, Elsins, Washington, D. C. Bloodlines: Red Horse, Winian fowl. Description: Light and dark ginger or pumpkin red, red quills in feathers, green or willow legs, dark eyes, st. comb. One of the all time great blood lines.

I've been breeding them for yrs. But got away from it due to a major financial loss bout 7 yrs ago. Im just now getting back into it im lookin for the blood u have actually. Dangit never find the good ones anymore.

Do you have an incubator? Which strand are you looking for? You can find eggs on google by typing in "redquill american gamefowl for sale" If you don't have an incubator then try oakridgefarm.net. They online auctions and you may find something there.

This is Limpy my adopted roo. Not quite sure what he is breedwise but I think he is gorgeous!

Do hens count? This is my hen Girlybird. She is a gamey mutt.

This Pharow my roo. OEGB and I think crested Polish something or another. p.s. he has white paint on his tail feathers, he was being SO helpful one day.hee hee

Annie, another of my gamey-mutt hens.

Little Missy. another gamey-mutt hen. I resued her from very nasty living conditions. She is a special needs girl. Has some sort of neurological problems which affect her walking and depth perception. She also cannot fly. She is my favorite.

I like the gameys......

YES HENS COUNT! WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT THEM?

I think you rooster on the top is part Redquill. If you look at mine you will see he is almost identical to my hatch/redquill rooster Highme. Pharow is a beautiful Rooster but I don't see polish in him. Some American Games have "toppies" like yours. He may simply be OEG and AGF mix.....interesting huh? Girlybird looks like a Clariot mixture with Grey. Annie may be part Minor Blue and Grey. Little Missy looks like a mixture of Kelso, Grey and Speeder.

You have beautiful chickens....God Bless you for taking care of little missy....you are a saint!
American Gamefowl are proably the most abused of all the breeds. We need to treat them with more dignity and that is why I created this thread...to show how beautiful they truly are!
