Bloody poop questions.

I just got 2 bantam chicks today...very young about 3 or 4 days old...I dont know which one it is yet...but I know I looked in the bathtub(brooder) where they are and the poop is bloody and in some spots it looks like just spots of blood. I am sorta new to chickens & dont know anything about this. Should I worry? will it die? what can I do? thanks!
 
he said they were hatched sat. they r very very small so I believe him on that 1...when I got them there were like a freaking gazllion chicks stuffed in this little brooder!!! so im sure they were fighting for food...but they arent moving around much, they arent making typical chick noises...either one....I will stil their beaks in food & water to try to encourage eating....but they wont...they arent active at all they just lay there...
 
Sounds like coccidiosis, treat with Corid (1 teaspoon per gallon I believe)

ETA: And treat them pronto. I've seen it kill young chicks fast.

Sounds like they have cocci. You need to treat them with corid (amprolium) ASAP or they will die. Your feed store should carry it in the cattle section, it is a liquid. Dosage is 4.75cc per 2 quarts of water x 7 days.
 
thanks soooo much!!! Im worried sick though....Its too l8 for feed store & there is absoutley no way that I can get them that before 3.45 tommoro when I get off work..maybe I can convince a family member to go by the store for me & bring it here for them!..... also, for the time being I hve some type of vitamins u put in the water..I got it for a hurt duckling I had called vital...do u think that would hold them off? what causes that? can they pass it to my other chicks? should I let the man know so he can treat his others? ugh....I shouldnt have trusted him....!!!! the conditions his pens & everything were nasty!!!!!

Yes I can get powdered milk...thanks for telling me!!! I like like 30 mins away from wally world but I dont wanna loose my chicks!!!!!!! Do I just force it in their beaks?
