cute video!

Took these this morning...I think Charlotte needs a bigger pond!

She loves to float...yep...a kiddie pool is on the shopping list for town today. Ninya waits for her bath until Charlotte finishes even though there are two of these in their yard..

The pool is filled and Ninya and Charlotte are inquisitive but aprehensive of the big blue thing.
I actually had to herd them towards it and of course the chickens were laughing at their timidity.

They walked around it twice and nibbled the edge before Ninya stuck her head in.

I broke down and set Ninya in the middle and she started calling to Charlotte who became more interested especially when Ninya started diving.. Charlotte tasted the floor brick ....

and then...bolted in....

While not as exhuberant as their first bath in the house tub, they did do a little diving and then got out to preen.

I filled the pool more deeply and they did get back in. I'm sure this will get more intense each time they get in. I need a few toys for them to play with....any suggestions?

Oh they are so pretty!!! A tiny blow up beach ball? Do they like to play with toys?

Wonderful pictures, Nanakat! My geese play with grass that sticks up by their pool. But their only toy is a smooth, light weight rock at the bottom of the pool. They like moving it around, and picking it up, then dropping it in the water, then going down and getting it, and dropping it...etc. Man, I wish I could upload a video I have of them playing with it, but I dont have a youtube acct yet. I dont know which is more pathetic, my geese being amused by a rock, or me being amused at my geese playing with a rock.
