Hi everyone I have been reading through this thread and have really enjoyed some of the conversation a while back someone mentioned Australian light Sussex.
Meet Pixie one of our new members of our chicken family she's about 16 weeks old and so kind and curious and friendly she's made a great addition to our family.
My only concern with her is because she is so Placid that she will not stand up for herself in the new pecking order does this breed tend to become a bit more assertive as they get older if they need to be.
She's in a mixed Coupe with a Leghorn, 3 small bearded bantams and an Ancona.
She was added to the Flock with a little sister a dark copper Moran she is also a lovely natured chicken, a little bit more skittish but does stand up for herself more.
Pixie the light Sussex will be the largest chicken in The Flock but she's looking like she may be in the bottom end of the pecking order it just doesn't seem natural.
Any thoughts I'd love to hear.
