She's currently in quarantine but today was beautiful so we busted her out and brought her out to the garden way on the other side of the house from the flock. She's laid 5 eggs for us this week. I bet she is Sweet!! I am supposed to be getting chicks from Jerry Foley after the 1st of the year. I can't wait!!

Here is my girl, Charcoal, that is laying beauitiful brown eggs. She is not very friendly but we love her just the same.

She is very dark compared to my SLW. Good luck. I know it is hard to keep them from foraging when you get newbies.

We have 2 SLW hens and had a roo. We gave our roo away to a good home. I guess he is the best roo ever. Darn! He is gentle and calm and loves people. The one we kept is a White Crested Black Polish roo that attacks me!

If you were talking about mine - you are right. I don't know her background but I'm sure she is hatchery stock. Ok with me. Just enjoying her.

Yes, I am so intrigued with their lacey feathers. They are just beautiful.
