Brown Leghorns: Pics, Info, and Resources

Pics
So I went out and got a video of her and the way she holds herself when she is happy and isn't being a grumpy booty.
I also took more pictures of her earlobes and as you say they may be to reddish. I've looked at pictures of winning show brown leghorn hens and pullets and I'd say she looks pretty darn good besides maybe the earlobes. She is the only hatchery bird I have that I would have thought had any show potential! :) She is such a patient little girl. When I actually catch her she lets me fuss over her haha. But I think she enjoys the attention. I would hope anyways. She was so calm about me playing with her ears and face!

This thread has been very interesting. My Brown Leghorns have um,.. yes, very different personalities! Not flighty, not quite bullies, but aggressive and very food oriented. I generally only name the hens with the biggest personalities and they do qualify. One of them (Poppi) is the ultimate escape artist, sigh. The first to eat from my fingers; the first to grab the slug or treat, very alert, assertive. Started laying the smallest little white eggs (are bigger and coming more consistently this year.) Big red combs and bright white ears, skinny and long legged opportunists.

They look like two girls. The rosy breast like that is female.

I know that the feathers on her neck look like pointed rooster feathers, but it is the color that makes them look pointed, the feathers have rounded ends.

My brown leghorns has not started laying yet but they are 21 wks when do you thank they may born in june at hatchery in texas
