Scab on hens foot!

Hugging a Chicken
My barred rock, Gloria, has had a scab on her foot. I believe it is a old wound that never healed... but what do you all think? Can I buy a medicine to put on it? A year ago, her foot was stepped on by a horse. She limps and often will try to peck off the scab, or hold her foot in the air. It does not smell but will sometimes start bleeding. We have tried to put vaseline on it.... but that didn't do anything.

Help?


 
It looks like both legs and both sets of toes have something going on. Wouldn't she just have problems with one leg if it a result of the injury? Come on chicken experts.....check this out and give Gloria some help!

I don't think so... there is barely any scales.

BREAKING NEWS: Gloria was outside today and somehow a pine needle went right through her leg, making it bleed and puss up. I extracted the needle and sprayed some hydrogen peroxide on it... making it fizz and sizzle. In great pain, she limped away, quite mad at me and is now sulking in our coop. HELP?!

Are you able to take her to the vet at all? I feel so bad for poor Gloria :(

we just can't manage the money it'll cost us to take her to a vet right now. i wish i could.... but its just too much for a chicken.
