Summer Quilt block swap - We use similar colors, but each pick a different block

The black one is a Cayuga, the other two are fawn & white runners. They ARE cute, but my house stinks like baby duck.

Your telling me. I've got 16 baby ducks right now. Even though we change out everything weekly, and put them outside in cages on grass every day, my garage stinks to high heaven, and oh the flies!! I've got goslings in the brooder next door. Can't believe how much cleaner they are.

I have been absent too and so busy. I had to drive to fetch 2 granddaughters twice, sent one off to MN to her mom Friday. We had a dog sick last weekend we got over it, I hope, but I lost my youngest Friday, she died on my bed and so sad. We need to know what happened as I have 4 more here and trying to clean the house, but how do I bleach carpet and furniture and they are in and out as us, I am going to check in sending her in for necropsy or chasing the little guy that was sick for a stool sample, I need to know if parvo or not,....God help me. I think going to JoAnn's tomorrow for the fun of it to get my mind off this. Also had 10 quail hatch so far between Friday and today, finally got them set up in brooder, about 20 chicks set to hatch next weekend hopefully from the Blue Copper Marans roo I lost a few weeks ago, and the good news is I got my first silkie egg a couple days ago....

ginbart,
I have a green, brown and a pretty yellow with brownish hens on it that I couldn't resist to work with for now! Of course, Jo-Ann's is having a sale this weekend, so I might "need" something else to go with it!! I think I'll try to stick with greens and browns though!

Ang
That will be nice.

So sorry for your loss, hope it is not Parvo *fingercrossed*

I haven't been on here much and the end of June is great with me. I don't know if I said this because of not being on here and if I have I'm sorry. I need to get 24 CE credits by June 20. OMGoodness I hope I make it.

Last Thursday I drove to my DD house in Delaware, It took me 6 hours because of the traffic and road construction. I was by my self and it was nice having a rent a car and listening to my country music without it being changed. lol I had to get up Friday morning at 6am so I didn't even get to hug my granddaughters goodbye. Again on the way back it was another 6 hours, the traffic was bad and a truck hit 4 telephone polls and we were backed up for miles. But I did get to see my first Granddaughter's graduation. Saturday I went to a wedding. It was a long time since I had been to one and it was so nice.

I'm not going to change my star, I was but I have them all cut out and I think I'll just measure them all again so they line up better. Talk later everyone.

I hope you all have a good holiday. We are staying home we went yesterday to my uncles house for a picnic,

Hello Everyone.

I have contacted the OP, but not heard back. While I have a moment I wanted to let you all know that I am most likely NOT going to be able to finish my blocks this month.
My Mother is working in Israel for 2 months and in that time I am in charge of my Grandmother's care.
She had a rough winter, but showed improvement over the last few months & was able to move back into her apartment at the assisted living facility.
She took a fall a few weeks ago & they thought she had suffered a minor stroke.
It seems it was just a warning shot & she has deteriorated rapidly over the last 2 weeks.
I am now in a position where I have to drive 2 & a half hours 3-4 days a week (at least) to deal with doctors visits, and now to start getting her apartment ready for a new tenant as the facility will not allow her to move back into the independent living side (with good reason), but is keeping her in the nursing wing. (Means moving her stuff to storage, or selling & dealing with all the relatives, the crap they want & how they expect this to work - none of them agree on anything & my Mom is in Israel on weird time...)
We are not sure she will be able to afford the nursing home side, we'd hoped for a few more years in the independent living side before she had to start paying so much more from her savings.
So, I am in a very trying position, along with work & kids, and the commute...
I have been forced to downsize my flock (just my new additions, it was too much to not be able to spend time with the babies and worry they were out of food & water while I am in the hospital...) - they just are not getting to live the lifestyle they were living, and I am not sure how long this will all go on.
I have to have her moved by July 1st, so I am under the gun. Not to mention that my Mema is sick, and she has been my rock & my hero for so long. She is barely able to communicate now.
She is the one who got me started quilting & every time I sit down to try to sew I just lose it. It should be an escape, but it just triggers all the sorrow I don't have time to process otherwise.
I have been falling into bed every evening, and I just hate to disappoint you ladies. But, I feel like it is better to do so NOW than after I miss the deadline & everything is ruined.
So, I am so, SO sorry ladies. It kills me to let anyone down.

I am having problems here too. In the OP she said let's work on for summer and get ready for fall, maybe we can do a later date toward the end of summer?
