Hi. I ordered some chicks (specifically females) and are wondering if they are really females. Could use some help!

They are 5 weeks old. I am almost sure the Golden Laced Wyandotte is a female. She is very nice and has thin legs. She has a flat comb. The reason her comb is different is because it is a rose comb.

That is an awfully pink comb for 5 weeks. I'd keep an eye on that wyandotte. Looks to be coloring in female (feathering) but the comb should not be that red at this age. If the comb starts to raise off the head AT ALL in the next few weeks there's a good chance it's male. My wyandotte did not get a raised or even pink comb until 16 weeks. You almost couldn't tell she had a comb at all.

idk.... I think I see some curly tail feathers on the glw. Comb is definitely pink... Currently I say roo. Can you get pics of them standing naturally?

Golden Laced Wyandottes have a different type of comb. It is a rose bomb. My chick's comb is pretty much flat in real life.
