Silkie Momma with babies

How fun..those babies look gorgeous! I see sand. Like the sand I used to see when I lived in North Carolina for a very short time. :))

Yeap, came from Myrtle Beach, SC.

And thanks y'all for the nice comments!

Kyla and her babies

How do you keep the chicks from getting out through the chain link fence holes? Or rats or snakes getting in? I'm curious as I know those would be small enough to come through such openings & definitely are a threat to baby chicks. So wondering if there is a mesh that I'm not seeing.

There is poultry wire over the chain links, if you look close enough in the pictures. That said, I have chickens who free range with baby chicks, and have been doing so for years, and haven't had an issue with snakes or rats bothering them.

Adorable little fluff balls!! Beautiful chicks and a proud mama. Thanks for sharing your pics!
