I have two juvenile Saxony ducks. I'm hoping it's a male and female pair, but I don't trust my sexing ability until they grow up enough to prove me right.

I'll have to take pictures of our new girls tomorrow. They are 6 weeks old, and HUGE! I voice sexed them so hopefully they are both girls lol....they are bigger then out 8 week old jumbo pekin girls!

I only ended up with one female out of 7. (eye roll) Great odds... NOT! lol.
One of my Saxony hens just hatched 2 babies, let me tell you, that girl can bite! A 3rd was pipped last night. Need to get photos once she's up and moving around with them.
They are FANTASTIC layers! The other hen, she is still laying every single day. The boys are very protective and watchful. Though one chases me when I turn my back. He gets held a lot if he gets close enough to catch him, so lately he's been stopping 3 ft shy of me.
I tried hatching eggs and got one female, then went through top show quality babies from Holderreads, ended up with 5 males and 5 females... crazy! Exactly half and half! Wasn't expecting that.
The boys are molting, and Duke is coming in a buff color over his white on his rear areas. He's starting to look weird. Earl is retaining the dark chest and white rear half.
I love these birds though, even if one drake is a jerk.

The one hen from shipped eggs with her freebie buddies. She was... 8/9 weeks old?
