Chicken-vention... what inventions have you come up with? (Pic heavy)

I'm going to coin a new term... unless of course it is already out there.... Chicken-vention: a device, adaptation or tool developed for byc's in the comfort of one's home, garage or workshop. ie. clever doors, feeders, brooders and the ilk.

What have you designed/made?

here is my first... a 15" feeder with only a 7" footprint for my 4x4 coop.

I thought it was when people who love you throw a chicken -vention because you have gone off the deep end with too many chickens.... :lol:

i think I've been thru a few.......and they haven't worked.

I don't think I'm the first to do this, but I made an in wall feeder to save space in my coop. It is filled through a door on the outside.

Here is the inside (minus the removable roost) and outside of my coop. Trying to figure out a clever/efficient pellet delivery system. Thinking there might be some sort of assembly of PVC piping to do the trick. For 5 chickens could I have one 2x4 opening for feeding or should I have multiple? Will they just take turns like they do for nest boxes?

Lovin the Chicken-vention term! I'm a chicken newbie, and being on a tight budget I've been looking for any possible way to save.

This is the chick feeder I made for our brooder. It's made from 2 containers - one inside the other. It's not perfect, but I have a feeling it will get the job done and keep our chicks fed.
