The Old Folks Home

Good afternoon Old Folks. It's a rainy cold day here in South Alabama good day to stay inside and stay warm. I try to remember this kind of day in August when it's 100 degrees with 60% humidity.
I'll take 100 degrees any day over a low too close to 0 to be comfortable. But I'd be more than happy to trade you the snow for the rain.

Went out and checked the birds. Took out hot mash for them. I have two incandescent bulbs running in the coops and surprise! No frozen water. I had used a can of expandable foam in the fall and got about 75% of the known bad air leaks sealed up for them. Don't mind a few cracks and such for air ventilation but when I can see daylight through the holes. Time to caulk. It's warm enough in the coop that the birds are looking at me like, hey, when can we go outside? Maybe I should just open the doors and say....when THAT white stuff goes away!

Cool! It's barely more than a crossroads.

When we have temps in the upper 80s-90s, we have more like 90%+ humidity. 60% would be a miracle!

But 100°... nah... hubby would be very upset.

No, thanks. I had my fill of snow when we lived in N.W. Missouri. zero for the daily high temp and wind blowing off the plains...brrrrr!
