Good afternoon had a heck of a morning.
Call came in said they where the mortgage holder company
And we owed 16 hundred to them.
Bullpucky was my reply.
He did not know the name of company even.

I got one from some guy with a heavy accent that said he was with the IRS and I owed back taxes plus interest to the tune of $10,000. He asked for my social security number and I told him if he was really the IRS he already knew it. I strung him along for a good 5 minutes then told him I was recording the conversation and the law would be there soon. he hung up fast. I may have been born in the dark but it was not last night!
Scam, scam, scam, scam.
I've started getting the "We can help with your back taxes" phone calls now that it's tax season.
We are getting bad calls.
Bank called asked if I was going to pay the roof loan.
Told her when I did when I get my check each month I do it.
Was told it would be good.
Said she did not read that part of the note.
She was very nice about the call even when I said I made it.

Scammers are blowing up my phone this morning! I've gotten 20 "scam likely" calls in the past 25 minutes.
Funny you should ask that, not too long ago my husband hollered at me from the den and told me to " go tell those kids to get out of our yard"( he had just gotten out of the shower and only had his bathrobe on at the time so I guess he thought him running out the front door towards a couple of children was not the best ideaThat sure does help!

).... so, yes, I have in fact yelled at somebody to get off my lawn.. but it was only because I was following ordersOh you've got to love the scammers.. sad part is that people do fall for it, and even if it's only one in a thousand it's enough to keep them dialing numbers until they hit that one. When I'm bored I like to engage them in conversation that makes it seem like I'm falling for their scam, I figure the more of their time I can waste talking to me the less time they have to scam someone else that might be the one that would fall for it

We have been getting weird phone calls also. Somebody looking for an Amish woman....ummmm Amish don't have cell phones around us. Sounded like an Amish man calling. We tell them no, there is no one by that name here you have a wrong number. They hang up. 5 minutes later another call by another phone number same guy looking for the same Amish woman. What? You didn't get her on one phone so you call the same wrong number on another phone thinking you are suddenly going to get her? This happened a few times a day for about 5 days. Always different numbers and sometimes different people. Once asked if we knew a woman with a Hispanic name who used to have our number before us (and was a bit of a deadbeat) or if we had a certain credit card number. Yes, we knew that name but no we don't have that credit card. Told them she had the number before us so please stop calling here. Had a few days without calls then got another one today only we have blocked all the numbers that we have got to date.
Don't know what their game is but nope, we weren't born yesterday either.
