Here is my first try at videoing my chickens. My apologies for the video quality!

The video is featuring my silver penciled plymouth rocks. Most of the birds are too young yet to show the proper "pencilling", but soon they will be just as pretty as their big momma, Bertha.
  • Big Bertha, sppr from 2010; rooster from 2011
  • pen of roosters being raised as meat birds\
  • pen of pullets
  • my home made greenhouse
  • broody hen with chicks

Great video. We have some silver penciled chicks, and it is nice to see what ours will grow up to look like. I especially love seeing the broody hen with her chicks.

I love the video. Thank you for posting. I really love the look of the Silver Pencil Plymouth Rocks. I told my husband, that's what I want next time we get hens...so pretty...

Hello LalaChickie

Thank you for watching the video. That is a year old now. Yesterday, I took pictures of my silver pencilled plymouth rocks and posted them on the Plymouth Rock Breeding Thread here on BYC.

I hope you can find this type of chicken in CA. There are a few breeders there, I think. They are very scarce in eastern Canada where I live. I'm looking for other breeders of this type in my area.

Happy Sunday!

I will look for them on the other thread. I just think their feathers are so interesting! Best wishes on the breeding.
