Little by little is all you can really hope for in my experience...all that fun stuff is a lot of work!! And yes, we got loads of rain the last couple weeks. It may be the last we see for quite awhile, but I'm thankful for what we got. Living in a perpetual drought is no fun at all.
I was able to pick almost a whole basket of the purple green beans yesterday. Also got a few yellow squash- one was pretty hidden and ended up being bigger than my forearm before we saw it! It'll have to get sliced super thin and made into squash chips in the dehydrator because it'll be too tough for anything else. The corn is growing tiny little ears and I found about an inch long watermelon yesterday. On a less than great note...my goats found a weakness in the fence and managed to stick their heads through enough to eat the top 4 feet off three of my tallest sunflowers. BOO! LOL, Dang goats!

Fur n Feathers- thank you for the lovely compliment!
All that fun stuff is a lot of work!!! Here lately...if I sit still for a hair too long, I'm asleep....lol. Glad you got some rain and I hope you get more! I'm just now planting up here. We had snow and freezing temps just a couple weeks ago.....that's not normal though. Heck last year I thought the squash was suppose to be that big when you pick,,,until I read otherwise....lol. I just don't know any of this. I'm learning all I know on all this stuff from the computer....lol. Thank you grandpa Internet....

. I have pics to add later. That cow is starting to bag up though. I might have to leave the weight room door open for those turkeys....lol....they do have little legs...lol. Hopefully, they will grow. They will be 2 months old here at the 1st of June. That kitty on the prowl was watching the turkeys. She wouldn't attack one, but it looked like it and se had the turkeys worried as heck though....lol. Those two chickens looking through the panel there are my cornish x. I'm going to miss having them around. I'm going to start in processing them real quick here. I seen a quote or something the other day that stated....If you are without trouble, get a goat.....lol. I really enjoy my goaties! I can't wait to play with babies again! I have room for quite a few more goats with how I'm moving every thing around. I didn't have anything planted in the last pic there at that time, but I do now....

. You know you could be watching your new chicks in the evening right now rubbin' super duper soft bunny neck and check fur, but nooooo.....you had self control....lol. Looks like a real cute group of foals you are messin' with also! They are lucky to be there!
Yeah, thanks for rubbing it in! lol I don't know if I have very good self control. I started reading about showing rabbits today.

So if I do get a rabbit, I want to be able to do something with it. And this rabbit that one of the kids here at the farm found "for me", has been shown and done well.

This kid came to the barn the other day and was like "Sanna! I found a rabbit for you!!" with this face...she was so thrilled. lol Even these 13 year olds are bad influence! I suppose the bunny could live out there with our lonely bunny Nadia and the 19 guinea pigs.

I would kill for some good hay pastures. All our hay comes from up north.
I know the feeling. We pay $5000 per hay load and sometimes we get two loads a month.

I will, thanks!
I think I have decided I want a Mini Lop. I've emailed some breeders closest to home, found one breeder that has babies available. Now I just need to learn what to look for, so I'll know I'm getting a good quality rabbit. Any advice?

Sanna - show a really rare breed of rabbit. Then you will might be the only one in the classes and score some awesome trophies and ribbons....lol. Lots of mini lops I imagine....nothing cuter than a mini lop though and you will probably be showing a nasty ugly thing doing what I said...hehe. just jokin around!
