This is the story of Storm, my RWTP character. It follows the story of his life from before he was born to wherever I am in the RP by the time I finish the story. This story is based on the Run With The Pack~ A Wolf RP and ~Run With The Pack II~ A Wolf RP threads. (Link is in my siggy)
Chapter One: Thrush
Thrush yawned as she trotted along the trail of an old scent. It was not ancient; she hoped it would lead her to a newer scent of prey.
“Hey, Thrush!”
Thrush wheeled around, her nose quivering as she detected another wolf from her pack. Her golden eyes focused on a dark, soot-colored he-wolf with his tail raised in excitement. “Oh,” she drawled, “Hey Soot. Didn’t smell you back there. Catch anything yet?”
Soot shook his head, his gray ears drooping. “But I found you! You’re…um…looking…good. Considering the problems we’ve been having lately, I guess. If you’re going after big game or—or, um…”
She smiled as he bumped into her gray and dust-colored side. “Thanks,” she said, “But I think I’m better off going after the rabbits we scented earlier.”
“Um…yeah, go do that…”
She watched her friend stumble like his paws were made of rock. It was obvious to her Soot liked her way more than any other member of Emeraldpack did, but she couldn’t drag up the same feelings for him from her heart.
Maybe he’s not the he-wolf for me, the she-wolf thought with a sigh, But who is? Autumn…yeah, I’ll wait for then. Maybe my instincts will tell me which wolf is the guy. They have to!
She shoved her nose to the ground again. Hope flashed in her eyes like a spark of forest fire when the slightest smell of a new rabbit passed by her face.
“Perfect,” Thrush murmured with a slight smirk. She stepped forward carefully, every movement designed to make an impossibly slight sound.
She was a well-built wolf. Her ribs could be detected through her ragged pelt but not seen. A few thin scars ran down her back, but the unsightly marks of battle never distracted any other wolf from her beauty. Soft, golden eyes surveyed the forest with determination and almost cruel desire of a true apex predator.
There. Thrush’s ears swiveled to the left as the smallest sound hit them. Her back legs tensed, eager to begin the race of hunter and hunted.
Suddenly, two wolves burst out from the bushes behind the rabbit. The brown creature fled. Its frightened eyes were the only thing Thrush saw before its puff-like tail disappeared from her sight with her hopes of eating.
“What was that for?” she snarled, glaring at the white wolf that stood near her shadow.
The white wolf, Snow, bared her teeth. “We killed a lone wolf near the southern scent post! Honestly, Thrush, stop acting like your alpha of Emeraldpack.”
Thrush growled deep in her throat. “One failed attempt will never deter me! Winter will one day—“
“Thrush!” cried the gray male that had arrived with Snow. “Where are Winter and Sky?”
Thrush’s tail swished, but her hackles smoothed out as she turned to Mists. “I think they’re still back at the dens. Winter might have gone out hunting for elk a while ago, though.”
Snow nodded. “We have to get them over to the border soon. If any of the other packs catch us with an enemy scent and none of the alphas’ to cover it up…well, our troubles with Pinepack are far from over.”
The brown she-wolf beside her sighed. “I hope you two will catch enough for me to eat too. You both owe me for the rabbit you made me loose.
Mists glared at her. “If you want to organize the pack hunt, go ahead, Thrush.”
She sniffed and spun around. “It’s too early to hunt, anyway. I’m going to go get a drink at the Stonepack border.”
Snow studied her and remarked, “There was a skirmish there with Lark and Willow a month ago. It might be too much of a risk to stray so close to their scent posts.”
Thrush paused and smiled. “There’s no such thing as ‘too much of a risk’ only too much of a pup to take one.”

"Do you want me to continue?" The black she-wolf asked her dust-colored pup.
The pup yawned. "When does Storm come in, Mom?"
"Later, much later," the she-wolf replied, "But you must be patient. That's the only way to get the whole story."
"Alright, Mother," the pup said.
